本書集歷史語境、理論研究與文學閱讀實踐于一體，通過多方位地采納當今美國亞華裔文學及文化批評領域內外的研究理論——美國亞華裔移民史、族裔與后殖民主義文學及文化研究、文化翻譯、心理分析及女性主義理論——來著重解析橫跨20世紀后半世紀的美國華裔女性作家的作品，以及環繞著華裔文化認同及其文學所展示出的多維文化協商、抗爭和跨文化的變遷。與此同時，本書亦從多方位的女性主義視角出發，對這些女性作品中所反映出來的性別、種族、社會階層、時空及文化相交叉的女性問題進行了單一的解析。
作者簡介
唐蔚明，畢業于英國牛津大學，獲英文系英語語言文學博士學位、現代語言文學系女性研究學碩士學位，并獲有德國特里爾大學英語語言文學及漢學碩士學位。主要學術研究方向為亞華裔美國文學；文化翻譯理論；后殖民／世界英語文學；女性研究及文學。現任天津外國語學院英語學院英語語言文化與文學系教師、副教授。
