"Of Violence And Manners" strings together a modern poetic take on themes of love, loss and lust with the harsh reality of todays cruelty embedded within young lovers. Within the covers of this poetry book, one can find 60 poems filled with solitude, emotion and growth from the young author who takes you on a journey by way of words, crossing tides of new and unknown experiences that young adults encounter on their pursuit of love, answers and a place in the world, essentially stumbling across their "true self". The author draws on past experience, as well as violent yet often subtle and simple imagery from fictional characters, past works of art and the calmness of the Irish countryside, allowing for a pathway up and down a garden of poetry, which all readers may traverse at their own pace. "Whatever your stance on love may be, at the end of the day, its simply violence with manners."
