Gastronomy, Music and Dance in the Life Cycle of Cape Verdean Man

The text seeks to explain the interaction between gastronomy, musical manifestations and traditional Cape Verdean dances in their connection with the life cycle of the people of the islands. They are the ingredients that are always present both in celebrating life - birth, marriage, commemorative dates - and in expressing the consternation of death and its rituals. The text reveals the importance of miscegenation for the Cape Verdean people and how this has given them their own Creole culture.
